Inauguration of the Hotel Villa Walbaum****

On Tuesday, May 24, the inauguration of the Hotel Villa Walbaum took place, in Vallon Pont D’Arc, in the heart of the Domaine. Walbaum.

More than 170 guests showed up to come and discover this new place dedicated to the art of living and wines, including partners, local suppliers, building trades and architects who worked on the family home, but also the local and regional elected officials who provided their support in the creation and development of this project, and in particular M. Nicolas DARAGON, Vice-President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and mayor of Valence.

The classified hotel 4 stars will blow out its first candle in June 2022. The first year of opening was a success, although punctuated by the health situation and its consequences.
Nestled in the heart of the vineyard, out of sight, protected by its century-old cedars, its woods and its olive trees, it benefits from a unique panorama of the Estate, the Ardèche river, the limestone cliffs and the village of Vallon Pont d’Arc. It welcomes French and foreign customers, looking for authenticity and wishing to discover Ardèche and its riches.
Many wine tourism experiences are offered throughout the year: wine tastings, wellness stays in the heart of the vineyard, sports activities, etc.

For many years, Ludovic Walbaum and his wife Chloëe have developed a sense of welcome. More than just a hotel, it is a family and human project, grouping on one side Ludovic's passion for vines and wine, et de l’autre Chloëe’s taste for the art of living and her sense of sharing. It took 3 years of work to renovate the family building and bring a touch of modernity, while retaining the history and charm of the place. The preservation of the environment is also an integral part of this project: everything has been designed with respect for the biodiversity and ecosystem of the Estate.

In reality, Chloëe and I are only doing our part in the family business. And I am sure that my daughter Inès and my son Louis will participate with the same joy and the same passion in writing the next pages of the Walbaum story in their own way. »
